As business owners and blended family parents with responsibilities, Bob and Kerri have made every attempt to embrace their shared passion for travel. After surviving cancer and emptying the nest the couple is determined to embark upon a life of saying “yes”. Yes to the travel opportunities traditional employment limited prior to this point in time.

A restless young man with the energy common to those now frequently diagnosed as ADHD, Bob joined the Navy at 19 and spent several years in parts of the world many never experience. Returning to the United States and possessing creative construction skills, Bob started a cabinet construction company before meeting his like-minded wife who reignited the wanderer soul within.

Born into the nomadic life of a military family, Kerri was blessed with opportunities to travel and experience different cultures from birth. Traveling on a budget often came with unexpected, and often hilarious, outcomes. Her mother and a friend coined these outcomes “Happiness Tours” and the families would often share their latest adventure which often sounded like a script to a new installment for National Lampoon’s Vacation series.

As the stories piled up, continuing through today, uproarious laughter has ensued during each retelling and the pressure has been mounting to write a book comprising these escapades before the memories are lost forever. Maybe that will happen someday, but in the meantime this blog is born of a need to start documenting our globe navigation. We hope you enjoy the adventure with us.
